Return of the Downtown Farmers Market

Tis the season for Iowa locavores! Marieta and I loaded up the car with our Market bags this past Saturday morning and drove on down to Court Avenue for the Downtown Farmers Market. Of course I shot a little video:

Vodpod videos no longer available.

On top of my video fun, we got interviewed by a reporter from the register. We clock in around the 2:10 mark. Hope you’re all taking advantage of the local food events in your area.

Marieta’s friend Autumn has a Daughter

Two weeks ago Marieta’s good friend Autumn gave birth to her 3rd child, a daughter. Marieta has visited a couple times and last week I tagged along with a camera. Meet Charlotte Grace.

Knitting with Grandma Katy

Yesterday Marieta and I drove up to Jefferson for a Christmas gift exchange (yes Christmas was over a month ago…). While we were there Marieta spent a good amount of time knitting with her Grandma Katy. Enjoy a very brief knitting lesson with Marieta’s grandma.

From Hollywood to Cambridge

Finally found some time to cut together video from our holiday travels. You’ve already had the chance to see what our Christmas day looked like but not our Christmas eve. For lunch the Boberg clan took a trip down the 101 into Los Angeles, more appropriately, Hollywood. The trip was to check out a pancake staple of tinsel town, Musso and Frank’s.

A week later we were traveling again, only this time we were back in the midwest. For New Years Marieta and I packed up the Subaru and sped off to Illinois, with stops in Cambridge and McHenry.

Both adventures were fun, but believe it or not, there is more video beyond this. Swing by some time in the next week or two to see our voyage to the stars and a Chicago Christmas staple.

Another California Christmas

A late Merry Christmas to all our friends and family. Marieta and I spent Christmas day in Simi Valley, California again with my family. Outside of six hours of delays flying to California it was a really fun time. Delicious food was ate, Gifts were open, and games were played. Instead of telling you how much fun it was, why not see for yourself. Have a fun and safe New Years.

O’Bryan Family Christmas 2011

Last Sunday, Marieta and I drove up to Churdan, Iowa for the annual O’Bryan family Christmas get-together. The O’Bryans are Marieta’s family on her mother’s side. The celebration was, as usual, a success, and of course, I brought a camera along. While you and your family enjoy your holiday festivities, see what how Marieta’s extended family tree partied.

Back from the City of Barbeque & Blues

Hello friends and family! As you probably know Marieta turned 30 last week and to celebrate we took a one night trip to Kansas City. I set up the excursion without telling Marieta where we were headed until after we were on the road. While in city of fountains I took a bunch of pictures and video, sadly I haven’t found time to edit the video yet, but I do have the pictures to share. If you’re interested click on the picture below to check em out.

Marieta’s Grandma turns 84

A couple Sundays ago Marieta and I drove up to Jefferson to celebrate her Grandma’s 84th birthday. It was a pretty good time talking and eating with family and friends; Marieta interviewed her Grandma for a class project and I brought along a camera to film the party. So for those of you who missed out on the fun, have no fear!

Two Weeks in California, 800+ pictures

Hey there Boberg buddies, Marieta and I we’re lucky to spend two whole weeks in California this Spring. We hit up LA, San Diego, Laguna Beach, Cambria, San Luis Obispo, San Francisco, Berkeley, Napa, Sonoma, and Healdsburg. It was really good to be back in California. We got to check out some old haunts, spend time with my family and some old friends. WE ALSO SAW A LIVE TAPING OF CONAN! Like I said, it was awesome.

Click here if you’re interested in checking out some of the pictures from our trip. If you don’t want to sift through all those pics don’t worry, you know I took some video and I’ll cut up something fun this weekend. Hope everything is well in your world!

Happy Holidays Chicago Style

For New Years Marieta and I took the 6 hour trek to Chicagoland to see my extended family. While our journey didn’t get off too a great start (we battled freezing rain for 2 and a half hours from Des Moines to Iowa City) we had an awesome time in Chicago. Too see how good a time we had, check out the video below.
